As you explore the world you collect scraps of paper that let you bring life and colour back to each area. Along the way, you fight a range of enemies to unlock new ways forward and complete your collecting.
As you progress you can take pictures of objects in the world to colour them in. This also unlocks related papercraft sheets on the game's website that you can download, colour and fold into the exact creatures you found in the game. It's a unique way to cross over from imaginative screen-based play to creativity in the real world. It also uses the PlayStation controller's unique motion controls, speaker and lights to create novel ways to interact with objects in the game.
The result is a story that on the surface is a simple folklore adventure.
