All About Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes

Disney Infinity is a video-game platform that uses collectable plastic figurines, places on a USB peripheral, to access in game content and characters. Similar to Skylanders Trap Team, Infinity saves progress back to the toys instantly so they can be taken to a friends house and played there -- regardless of the platform of the game they have.

Disney Infinity comes in a Starter Pack that offers the game disc, some figures and the USB Infinity Base that is plugged into the console to bring the figures into the game. The Starter Pack offers a series of Play Set adventures around a particular franchise as well as access to the Toy Box game creator mode.

The new version of the game, Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes brings a series of Marvel characters to the game along with some enhancements. All the previous Disney Infinity characters are compatible with the new game.

The new 2.0 Toy Box makes it easier to create your own games with editable starter mini-games, easy to use level brushes and automated helper robots that will complete your creations for you. This not only means that a wider range of abilities and age groups can create and share their own games but it also enhances the educational and collaboration aspect of the game.

Most interesting, perhaps, is the ability to make simple connections to trigger "game logic". This is the ability of players to make things happen while they explore the game. Perhaps picking up a block will cause an avalanche, kicking a ball into a goal will increase their score or falling into a trap will spawn a slew of enemies to attack.

The new game will provide an Avengers adventure to begin with that includes Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Thor, Hulk and Hawkeye. Additionally you can alter the look and abilities of these characters and worlds with the collectable Marvel Power Discs.
