AskAboutGames On The Road: Digital Resiliance For Middlesbrough Schools

We are always keen to get out and about to help teachers and parents get the most from video games. This week we were invited by Middlesbrough Council - Risk and Resilience Team to hold a session for teachers.

We went through how to find games for use in lessons using the Family Gaming Database. how to advise parents about family settings on devices.

One area of conversation was about understanding what in-game purchases games have. We went through the details on the site about the PEGI In-Game Purchase descriptor along with the "Includes Random Items" disclosure for games that include loot boxes.

It was a useful session that highlighted the usefulness of AskAboutGames and other resources in this setting. If you would like a similar session for your organisation, then do get in touch with our editor@askaboutgames.com.
