We're going to be at ExCeL London 22-25 September as part of EGX. It's a video game event where you can play games, talk to developers, discover possible gaming careers, discover new games and generally have a good day out with your family.

If you've not been to a video game expo before it can be hard to understand what's the attraction for families. As those who have attended will tell you, there are loads of reasons that EGX and events like this make for a brilliant day out.

- Discover Indie Games: See the UK's largest collection of new and upcoming indie games and meet their creators. This is a great chance to see what gaming has to offer beyond the big-budget hits you may already know about.

- Discover Art Games: Stretch gaming even further by visiting the Leftfield Collection. It's an eclectic mix of weird and wonderful independent games, which let you interact in different and unusual ways.

- Discover eSports: If you want to find out what esports is firsthand, visit the Arena at the show to watch some of the biggest esports and explore what our exhibitors have to offer.

- Meet YouTubers: You can meet your children's favourite video content creators with them. See who the person is behind all those videos you hear in the background. Maybe get their signature.

- Fringe Theatre: Visit this area for panel sessions and live podcast recordings. It's a great way to see behind the scenes of what goes into making games, podcasts and videos.

- Careers Fair: Visit the GI.biz Careers Fair to discover how you or your child might consider working in the industry. Talk directly to employers in the games industry. Or visit the Careers Bar for more information on starting a career in the games industry.

- Retro Zone: Relive your gaming past with your children. An array of old and rare machines like the Vectrex and Amstrad GX4000, old pinball and arcade machines, as well as bestsellers such as the Super Nintendo and original PlayStation.

- Play Board Games: Discover the rising popularity of board games. Take a breather from the show floor and enjoy a mix of new games and classic fan favourites with the friends you came with, or make new ones!

- AskAboutGames: Come and meet us, get advice about gaming, parental controls and how to get more from the games you play with your family.

- Meet The VSC: Meet the people who decide the PEGI age ratings. Try your hand at rating a game yourself and see how close to the official rating you come.
